Down On The Upside

posted Friday, 5 October 2007
Two major things happened at work yesterday.  One, I finished a huge project that I'd worked on since last May.  All that's left is one more thing that IT hasn't done yet.  Two, my work computer's hard drive died.

The death isn't necessarily the end of days; I have another computer to work with in the meantime, and I stored some key stuff on our shared drive.  But I did lose quite a bit of stuff that will be painful to replace.  I didn't really want to start from scratch with my statistical analysis, my important work info list and my project tracker, but now I have no choice.  I'll have to go back through my e-mail to download many key documents, and rebuild everything I had once I get my computer back from the shop.  Sucks.
