As I was reading a work-related article today, I had a sudden vision.
I had my first legitimate business idea. It came almost out of nowhere. Actually, that's not true - the article totally triggered it. I'm just glad I happened to be reading about HR with no electricity in my office.
Obviously I'm not going to discuss it openly, but it involves human resources, technology and changing the way companies manage their employee data. None of the major components of my concept reinvent the wheel...that is, until you combine them into one product, and/or one organization uses all three at once. Then it
does reinvent the wheel.
I have to do a bunch of research to see if anyone beat me to it. Then I'm going to discuss it with certain people I trust who would give great advice (Dave, Knoll, Chris, Diddy, Tom Kim). But for the moment, I'm pretty impressed with myself.
