Thanks to Virve's recommendation (and copy of the book), I am reading Steven J. Levitt's
Freakonomics, a book that could change the way you view this country. In it, Levitt challenges many widely-held nuggets of conventional wisdom held by most Americans.
For instance, what is the link between abortion and crime? Why do drug dealers live with their moms? How is a gang structured just like McDonalds? How does
The Weakest Link and online dating expose America's underlying racism? Will reading to your young child and taking him/her to museums help the kid become smarter? The list goes on and on. I'm not quite finished, but I strongly recommend it.
