Going to Dallas

I decided to go to a big annual conference in Dallas in early May.  This conference will give me a chance to see what's going on in my field, and is just about the best possible networking opportunity I can think of.  I've already made travel and hotel arrangements.  This will be a sort of last-ditch effort on a certain level, for reasons I'll explain in another section.  I only just found out about it last Thursday, so I hope I can get out of it what I'm hoping for despite the late notice. 

I will be there the weekend of May 5.
