Chicago Sessions

Last weekend I was flown to Chicago to Chicago to work on the last 4 songs of the album, and to work on some backing vocal parts for songs already recorded.  We played all of Saturday and for a few hours on Sunday, recording some sketches for bass lines and vocals using Garageband.  Saturday night, I got to hang out with my old roommate Mike, and another friend who I hadn't seen since probably 2000.  We got a lot done, and there's still more work to be completed. 

Next weekend, the lead vocalist is supposed to start laying down tracks in the studio at long last.  I'm excited to finally hear some finished songs.  Sometime in June (or more likely in July) I will fly back to Detroit to put bass down on the last 4 tracks, and at that point the album will just need to be mixed down and tweaked in the studio before it is "released."
