Carry That Weight

An interesting consequence of the American obesity epidemic: higher fuel costs and pollution rates from passenger planes.  Since the average American's weight has gone up by ten pounds, airline prices are rising and pollution increasing tremendously due to higher loads on planes.  The obese are no longer just killing ourselvs and wasting everyone's tax dollars -- they are shafting the world around them, too.  This is a serious problem that we as a society need to address immediately.
