Here's a random cross-section of songs I went through back-to-back using the shuffle function on my iPod, as is my custom:
- B.B. King and Eric Clapton, "Rock Me Baby"
- R.Kelly, "Love Signals"
- Dr. Dre, "Let Me Ride"
- Jay-Z, "Jigga That N***a"
- The Game, "Like Father, Like Son"
- Squirrel Nut Zippers, "It Ain't You"
- Alice In Chains, "Swing On This"
- Smashing Pumpkins, "Luna"
- Ozomatli, "Dos Cosas Ciertas"
- Bumpus, "Piecin' It Together"
- Missy Elliott, "Gossip Folks"
Then, later in the day...
- Jimi Hendrix, "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)"
- Dave Matthews Band, "Halloween"
- Stone Temple Pilots, "Silvergun Superman"
- Run-D.M.C., "Jam-Master Jay"
- Clipse, "Cot' Damn"
- Tori Amos, "A Sorta Fairytale"
- Bad Brains, "With The Quickness"
- Cake, "Palm of Your Hand"
- Elton John, "Country Comfort"
- Franz Ferdinand, "The Fallen"
- Notorious B.I.G., "Unbelievable"
As you can see, my musical tastes are somewhat random. And this is why I wanted an iPod: so I could shuffle (almost) all my music, making things unpredictable and keeping me on my toes.
