Some intrepid geeks reprogrammed the guitar-based controllers from the video game
Guitar Hero, plugged them into real amplification equipment,
and played actual, live music with their controllers. I suppose this was inevitable.
I only have one question: what's the point?
I suppose it might have been worth finding out if it could be done. Okay, so now you know. But this seems like a giant waste of time. You could spend your time modifying controllers, hooking them up to real amps, etc...or you could just pick up an actual guitar. The fact that the main dude behind this actually plays guitar in real life only makes this exercise more puzzling. Why play five notes/chords, when you could just play a guitar and have more options? Oh well. Now we know it can be done, I guess.
