Pat Forde Strikes Again

As much as I hate Ohio State, I still found Forde's latest editorial to be in bad taste.  Rarely do I defend the Buckeyes, so you might want to write this date down.

You'd think I would love it, because it rips on OSU much as I did yesterday.  But I don't.  Because as a Michigan fan, I've been on the receiving end of one of Forde's hit-job articles more than once before.  He seems to revel in kicking college football's largest fanbases while they are down.  OSU's loss was humiliating enough without Forde piling on with his mean-spirited pseudo-analysis.

For me to rip on OSU is understandable.  I'm a blatantly partisan fan.  For Forde to continue to make this sort of insult-based writing his bread and butter output is simply unseemly.  He's not Bill Simmons, who made his name being a biased New England/Boston team supporter.  He's not me - I'm just a fan with a weblog.  Forde is supposed to be a national pundit, and as such you'd think his writing would be a lot more balanced and a lot less reactionary. 

You know it's bad when I call out someone for ripping on my most reviled rival.  Well, that's just how repugnant Pat Forde's writing is.  Every time he gets the knives out, I feel like I need a shower.
